Namaste & Welcome

deZengo is about the "Art of Beautiful Living." Finding beauty in the strangest places and oddest objects. Being open to the most important discovery of our life--SELF DISCOVERY. It is my hope that as we heal our own pains, angers, fears, regrets...we can begin to heal the world.

As we continue to work independently and interdependently something wonderful takes place. Unity! Creation through collaboration. Life is not meant to be lived through the blinders of fear - step out of your comfort zone and into the NamaZone. Truly we care and our efforts to unite different cultures, backgrounds, genres, and yoga styles together is an enormous undertaking, but someone had to do it. We seek to create bridges between the different practices for those who seek truth and live love.

Pull up a cyber chair, sip some tea and enjoy a relaxing afternoon with Bonsai Yoga at their online hub or hang around here with the deZengo folks. We double down dog dare you!

Haiku Theme: Summer

Wondrous Creation
Birds dart to and fro
bees are buzzing everywhere.
Blessings all around.

Play till Noon
Dew is on the ground.
The lawn waits till afternoon.
Cool winds move the grass.

Close to Eden
Which smell to choose from?
Nature awakens again.
God said, “it was good.”

  1. This moment,
    Right Now,
    is absolutely new
    It has never been
    seen before and
    never will again
    But even as I speak,
    time creates itself,
    a parade of new moments
    marches,
    steadfastly
    For eternity.

    If you catch hold
    of your awareness
    and view the newness
    of each second,
    your ability to
    catch hold of the
    changes, as time advances,
    increases, allowing
    you control over
    your existence
    as we progress
    down the river
    avoiding all rocks.

  2. Kotes Drum
    ©'93 Christopher A. Brown

A man alone in the jungle. He can go or he can stay, he has a drum that he can play.
Man alone in the world has a T.V. and a phone. He can see, he can show, he can hear, or, even go and say from inside his home.
Man in the jungle, he ask,/"What he should play?"
Man in the world ask,- "What is best to do, see, show to who and say to hear them say what and why they will say what they say?"
Man playing drum plays best song he can, as long he can play.
Man in the world work to understand, who said what and why they would say.
Man playing drum ryhming most of the time, having most of the fun, played the best song very long and very fine. Sharing and caring with the sound of love divine.

Man in the world heard of the song.- He came and asked the the man with the drum "Why is it the best song to sing?"
Man with the drum said./ "It is the best song because it is about life and the love it can bring."
Man in the world smiles.- "Most people would rather listen to your drum than hear me asking about the world sharing all that it needs wants and knows. The world to them still seems a great and noisy place for dreams no matter how much it grows. Even though I ask what I ask when I show and say for the same reasons you sing and play, I wonder if they would know what is best for you or me on even their very best day?"
The man with the drum whispered aloud./ "Those hearing the song know it is I that play, they rarely know the meaning of the song or what it say."
Man in the world.- "Maybe the difference between the best of what we need want and know could be the basis of a television show. Those then watching might respond with a call, we would need a computer to count them all."
Man with the drum./ "If the best answered questions about want know and need were heard by so many, it would be long love indeed.
Man in the world.- "I've thought of these things and the wonder they might bring, especially if it is the best song we sing."
Man with the drum./ "Have no fear my friend. Even though your drum is louder than mine, the song it plays is just as fine. Heard with heart and mind, it will make for all, forever the sound of love divine."

  3. Here’s a Poem from the Poetry Chaikhana –

    His Living Proof

    By Abdul-Qader Bedil
    (1644 - 1721)

English version by David and Sabrineh Fideler

    The eternal mysteries,
    following wisdom’s lead,
    brought forth
    the human form
    as their living proof.

    As long as the drop
    hadn’t emerged from the sea,
    the ocean
    didn’t notice
    the depths of its splendor.

    ============

    Thought for the Day:

A mystic must be supremely pragmatic:
    Use what works,
    whatever opens the heart
    and fires the spirit.

    ============

Abdul-Qader Bedil (or Bidil) wrote extensively — poetry, practice, wisdom stories, and riddles — and most of his writings remain with us today. He advocated religious tolerance and taught a doctrine the Unity of Being (Wahdat al-Wujud) similar to Ibn Arabi.

Bidil’s work has been hugely influential upon Persian Sufi thinkers and poets in Afghanistan, as well as a rich source of material for classical music in the area.

The “human form” in this poem is not so much a reference to human physical body as to human consciousness. Abdul Qadir Bidil is saying that humanity was created by God to be a living witness to Divinity. This is the “living proof.” He is not stating that the human body itself somehow proves the existence of the “eternal mysteries;” rather, it is through the witnessing consciousness of humanity that the Divine knows Itself in fullness. Bidil makes this more clear with the metaphor of the second verse: It is only when the “drop” emerges from the “sea” that the “ocean” can envision “the depths of its own splendor.”

In other words, Bidil is giving us an answer to that fundamental spiritual question: Why does separation exist within the universe? If all is One, if everything fundamentally exists in God, why is there this devastating sense of separation and duality? The answer many mystical traditions give is that Eternal Unity divides mundane perception into the duality of seer and seen as a way to deepen the full knowledge of Being. Humanity, in this sense, has as its most important role that of witnessing Divinity. From this viewpoint, you could say that humanity becomes the eye of God. Human consciousness becomes a reflection of the Divine consciousness, a mirror in which the Eternal Unity can view Itself.

But there is an added twist to the common perception of duality. When one fulfills the role of witnessing God beyond the dizzying and sometimes heartbreaking multiplicities of the dualistic universe… the dualism fades away, revealing itself as having been an elaborate illusion. In truth, everything has always been One from start to finish. So we have a circular game of awareness: unity seeks self-knowledge through duality, but self-knowledge returns us to unity. The drop no matter how high it is flung into the air, eventually falls back into the embrace of the ocean and merges once more. Even high above the waves, the drop is water. And once returned to the ocean, it is still water (but no longer imagines itself to be a separate drop).

    Have a beautiful day!

  4. Wouldnt I fail creation

    Having a mind
    free to roam and create

free to blend mend and invent

wouldnt I fail creation itself if i did not make use of the flight of the mind?
To dive into adventures and fairy tales
Mix and match from the whole web of life
    Invent new words worlds
    new conceptions

live a life with freedom of mind and actions
    live free

create a life of that which is wanted
that which is seen as of value
    build on that

    So then,
    you know, I know
    what enriches and en-joys

    I pack my handkerchief
    tie it to a stick
start walking with the heart pumping a little faster
from joy mixed with fear of the unknown

step trustingly into the great abyss
    and find
    I can float

floating on the trust and belief
    of creation

    life is a fairy tale
    an adventure
    art

    life is joy and laughter
life is a dance of the universe

sun and earth in eternal loveaffair
    stars flirting
    stars being punctureholes ,
    light coming through

    Moon rolls on the hilltops
sun comes up in the middle of a ricefield
    scorching the straws

A ruin of a church a secret hideaway place for the Cathars

    I reached for the twinkle
    stars fell in my eyes

    and twinkle
at being a creator creating in the unswirling eternity of creation

    Fairy takes, mix and mark
    catch a spark
